Balthasar Friedrich Leizelt was a German engraver from Augsburg. He made many optica prints. These 18th-century prints were meant to be viewed in a viewing box or with the help of an optics mirror. Optica prints show the representation in mirror image and can be recognized by their inscription in mirror image.
