In 1748, through Descamps&#8217; connections, he was apprenticed to a master silver engraver named Couvel, from whom he learned metalwork.<\/p>\n<p>Le Veau created many engravings that can be found in the collection of many museums, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metmuseum.org\/art\/collection\/search\/396926\">Metropolitan<\/a> Museum of Art and the <a href=\"http:\/\/hdl.handle.net\/10934\/RM0001.COLLECT.138472\">Rijksmuseum<\/a> in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Image: a beautifully colored copper engraving of a vivid scene drawn by Justus Versteegh
