Anton Heyboer (1936-2005) was an influential Dutch artist known for his expressive paintings, drawings and graphic work. He had an unconventional lifestyle and was also known for his unique way of working. Heyboer often lived in seclusion, which contributed to his image as a rebellious and idiosyncratic figure in the art world.
Anton Heyboer is known for his expressive and often symbolic art, but his “chickens” paintings are perhaps one of his most iconic motifs.
