Tafel 34 aus dem Buch Florilegium Amplissimum et Selectissimum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Emanuel Sweerts war ein niederl\u00e4ndischer Zeichner und Botaniker, der 1612 in Frankfurt am Main das <em>Florilegium Amplissimum et Selectissimum<\/em> ver\u00f6ffentlichte.<\/p>\n<p>Damals kamen neue Pflanzen \u00fcber die Handelsschifffahrt nach Europa und erfreuten sich in der Bev\u00f6lkerung gro\u00dfer Beliebtheit. Sweerts erstellte sein <em>Florilegium<\/em> als Leitfaden f\u00fcr sein Angebot auf der Frankfurter Messe 1612. Seine attraktiv dargestellten Blumenzwiebeln weckten ihre Popularit\u00e4t, was zu sechs Auflagen des Werks zwischen 1612 und 1647 und zu einer Nachfrage f\u00fchrte, die sp\u00e4ter das Tulpenfieber ausl\u00f6sen sollte. Zur Zeit der Messe war Sweerts bei Kaiser Rudolf II. als Leiter seiner G\u00e4rten in Wien angestellt.<\/p>\n<p>Seine botanischen Stiche sind nach wie vor ein begehrtes Sammlerobjekt.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bild: seltener Stich der Iris.
